Got a squier strat as my diy guitar. Dissapointed by the off-white color on it. I have a color scheme in mind, but I’m I’m going to repaint it I might as well go all out. Can you effectively mirror paint the basswood of the guitar body with relatively cheap paint?

Be careful what you wish for!! If you can mirror paint it surely it will pick up every little mark?

Yes. I’ve thought about that, and I m willing to trade. I don’t usually handle my guitar by the body, so it shouldn’t be too much of an issue. As the paint dries, I will make sure to de-dust it often. I am just curious as to if it’s possible

Rust-Oleum do a spray can over here for less than £5, so maybe worth trying on an old bit of wood first?
