Good stuff. Have you ever tried the Tillamook Jerky? Do yourself a favor it is some of the best I have had.

Does it come from Tillamook, Oregon?

Because, while I don't really do a whole lot of red meat or dairy, Tillamook cheese and yogurt is the BEST.

I like their peppered one, just don’t EVER give any of it to your dog. Took my little 10 pound shih tzu Ruby backpacking a couple years ago and I was giving her little peppered jerky bites on the entire hike in. Pretty much every time I got into the bag I gave her a little piece too. Spent the entire night in the tent weathering thunderstorms with a pup that was dancing at the door every 20 minutes needing to go outside and poop. Poor thing, it was a very long night for both of us. I’ve since learned that many dogs have that reaction to pepper.

In recent years, I've started to prefer turkey jerky more than beef jerky. Turkey jerky seems more tender. And I like the teriyaki flavoring.

There's jerky, and there's also Jamaican Jerk chicken.. Now that I think about it, I don't want some random jerk making my food. Who knows what he/she will put in it..

My wife brought home a package of Bear pepperoni the other day... one of the lawyers in her office had some done up
Second time I've eaten bear. first time it was roast. uhg. So fatty, and greasy/gamey not ideal.

Pepperoni is better, but really there was so much spice in it. it could have been dog or whatever.
I used to get three whitetails at a time done up for jerkey, as I had it packaged up with my company logo on it
and gave it away as promo. Used to get the bucks from local outfitters, because the hunters only wanted the heads.
Used to be a pile of them outside his shop, I could pull up my half ton and load as many as I wanted, but it got
to be pricey after I had to get permits to carry them to the meat shop, and then the jerky making price went through
    the roof.

But it was nice having a freezer full of the stuff, and venison jerky is really nice.

We get quite a lot of game up here, people give it away a lot, trade. Ate cougar once. Not again. Not that kind of cougar LOL
