In the 80s, the tweed case was re-released with the AV series Strats. Let's call it Style 1. It may or may not have been made by G&C, but regardless, it didn't have the plate on the interior and the interior was that odd salmon color... not orange, not red, but somewhere in between.
Later the cases were definitely made by G&C, as distinguished by the plate on the orange interior (red for Custom Shop stuff I believe). Let's call this Style 2.
This may be an oversimplification of styles, so feel free to add a type if you see fit.

My question is, about when did the change in style occur?
I would assume around 1999 (with other changes in the AV series) or 2013 with the release of the revamped AV series.

Let's try to narrow down the date of the change over...
What style came with your AV series Strat and from what year?

If non-AV Strat's tweed cases are of interest to you as well, I have some. All are style one, though one has a little different interior color than the others. One with an '83 Walnut Strat, and three more supplied with early 90s CS Set-Neck Strats. One of these has a little more reddish and shorter haired interior, but no tag. That one came with a '93, the other two were from '92.
