Just read, Midwestern Pet Foods is doing recall (ya think?) for a lot of their products due to over 50 doggies dying from tainted food with mold toxins. If you have a pet please check that it’s not from the aforementioned company. Many others very sick. Very sad :(

Didn't the same company have a recall just a couple of months ago?....or was that someone else?

Watch what you feed the doggos!

    What about cat food....(real question)

Mrs. Says Charlie kinda whined and curled up on my pillow
the night I went into hospital( hasn't eaten since)
    Woke this morning
Charlie is. Curled on my shoulder
    I looked in his eyes
    He's not in there....
My life just got a flat on my right rear wheel

There was a time when doggies only got scrap's from the human table.

    Poor doggies :(

What about the people that eat this? Perhaps they should know about this too.

Is midwestern pet foods a brand? Or do they own brands that I might know or use?

My old boy is 15. I don't want any unnecessary risks with him.
    He's my best bud

I would hate to hear something like this - I do understand how you feel. Maybe it's back to feeding the old boy what we would have fed him forty years ago - your dinner.

There was another just last week, I believe, or the week before that, as well. Seems to be a recurring problem. My neighbor lost his border collie to tainted food a few years back. Ya gotta stay vigilant.

EDIT: I was looking that one up and returned to see you've already got it listed. It was the Sportmix recall.

There's a few types of catfood on the list Ben posted Thom. Hope Charlie's okay.

Many thanks for posting the list of tainted food. I don't buy food for my pets with any type of grains in it.
