    Hi guys,

so I’m in the market for a neck, and I’ve been offered what a re-seller is believing is a musikraft neck as he’s had it around a few years. Unlike all parts and warmoth, as far as I’m aware musikraft doesn’t have any distinctive markings. Are there any distinctive things or markings on musikraft necks I can look out for?

    Cheers!

The first couple of years they were in business no there were no marks on their products, on the necks they would just scribble the order nr sometimes at the heel with a pen.

On later years they started with branding a mark on their products, the necks wear a burn mark on the heel saying Musikraft made in USA. So it depends when the neck was ordered from them.

I'm currently thinking of ordering a new one myself for a project so my question to those who know Musikraft is threefold.

Is it ok for a Musikraft neck to wear a Fender decal and what & where is this MJT that does finishes?

Thirdly what finish should I ask for on the build form from Musikraft if it'll need to be finished later after decal application? Light lacquer?

I don’t know about “ok” for the Fender decal, but I put one on mine. I did it after it was finished by MJT so it is more vintage correct.

I got my neck with no finish and got it sent directly to MJT so I got a 10% discount on the neck from Musikraft but I still had to pay for the aged finish from MJT. I would always do it that way because I love the results from MJT.

they did all of the aging (including the hardware) on the red Telecaster I posted above.
