@amstratnut Beats $200 new I had to pay for mine. My main lead pedal was a Wampler SLOSTORTION ( it sounds uncannily like my Decatone head ) but I wore out the switches on it and sent it in to BAD to be repaired. I had gigs to do so I needed some thing that kick ass like the Wampler did. I try lots of stuff around town but the Friedman made them all sound wimpy. If it’s too much for ya I hear there are dip switches inside that let you “tame” the sound.... screw dat! I’ll never touch dat me. You know when you trying to make a Strat sing like Neal Schon .... it’s like dat!
Cool. I’m not a big user of reverb either. A little slap back is better. As long as you have access to wah, then good deal. You ever have use for tremolo?
I would ditch the talk box, octave, tuner, delay, and compressor. I would add an analog delay, and a wah. JMHO/YMMV
If you're looking into getting a BE-OD, you might want to go under the hood and dial it back. That thing can crank out some crazy amounts of distortion. I like to play Metal and Thrash from time to time and even I had to roll back the internal dials. Its an awesome pedal, but it sits in its box these days. I find that stacking an OCD and Timmy can produce all the overdrive I need when the situation calls for some Judas Priest or Megadeth. That or just boost the OD channel on my DSL 100 with my Timmy. Honestly though, I went to the Dark Side and have been playing around with a Pod Go through a Headrush FRFR 108. Oh yea,you can't go wrong with a wah, a Phase 95,and maybe a Carbon Copy or a Boss digital delay pedal
I have a phaser and delay on the board. Are you suggesting I swap them out for the brands you mentioned?
You're more than double mine so yeah, I think you're good. I just have comp, stereo chorus, 'verb and delay. I occasionally toy with getting a wah and/ or univibe but I never seem to get motivated enough to get either
I have access to my sons wah. I rarely use one. But can borrow his. I cant hear any difference between analig and digital delay. My delay has a tape setting and an analog setting. What am I missing? Do you find there to be that much difference?
Looks like you've got all the basics covered and quality boxes all around. If it were mine I'd probably throw another delay and a verb pedal or a Collider in there, but that's just because I like spacey stuff lol
Nevermind. I spotted it. The only other thing I would suggest is to swap out the Boss tuner with a Polytune 3. It's always on with buffer engaged, and it can tell you which string is out of tune. It's easier to read, as well.
