Nothing wrong with tearing it down to show the forum what the internals look like.

Yeah exactly, with all the return threads out there I’d be pulling it apart to make sure that neck, body and loaded pickguard all match up. Who knows what some clown would swap around and then return saying it’s not what they hoped for.

I got mine new, so yes, I'll enjoy playing it.

Big difference between buying new, you expect it to be new and original. Buying used especially from a big box store and being a 8 year old guitar, it may have changed a few hands.

I bought my 54 reissue 3 years old. Popped it open because something was off with the electronics. Found a blender pot, bridge tone added and some type of aftermarket volume pot. No mention of this at all when I bought it from my local big box store.
