Wow Ant, so sorry. I know he meant so much to you, and the pain is unbearable. Nothing anyone can say will change how you feel right now. Just know you and George are in my prayers. May he Rest In Peace. He was fortunate to have you, as you were him.
    Peace to you, friend.

So sorry for your loss. They become family, such big parts of our lives. I don't know anything to say to make it easier, but you have my deepest condolences. Rest in peace and happiness, George.

Very sorry to hear that. We are almost to that point with our dog too and I know it’s going to hurt.

Sorry man, I’ve been there. My big guy made it to 15, and that was probably a year too long. I have another one now that’s 17, so we’re taking it day by day at this point, but she’s hangin in there. Luckily she’s only a 10-pounder.

Sorry, my friend. Animals are the best companions. No rules, no complaints, just affection, warmth, and companionship. That makes them the hardest to lose.

You never forget, but it does get easier to deal with.

I have 2 beautiful girls myself… a Yorkie Chihuahua and a Yorkie Bichon - and I love them so much, I can’t imagine losing them. Dogs are such wonderful creatures… so faithful, loving and thoughtful. My thoughts are with you my friend… I’m so sorry for your loss.

    Oh my brother in guitar.......

    I feel your pain.

    Been there, done that.

And yet again, wife and I have been blessed with Agnes, our Golden Doodle.

She's 2 now and my favourite dog thus far.

In (hopefully) many years from now when I walk your path, I'll be devastated.

It's a very hard thing to lose a friend,
When my best friend passed I barely left my room for 2 weeks, stayed out of work, nothing but pain and sadness and lots of tears.
I still don't smile or laugh like I used to.
A piece of me went with him.
That's him, my avatar is my boy Cato.
    my thoughts are with you.

I am so sorry to read this. I love my 4 legged friends more than life and I have an idea of what you're going through. We are so fortunate to have these little guys in our lives but it's always far too brief. His memory will live on.

Anthony, you have my sympathies and my prayers. I've lost a few pets over the years, and it never gets any easier. In time, though, the sadness fades and the wonderful memories remain. May your George Patton rest in peace.

I have a hard time with a thread like this. Just recently lost the guy in my avatar so I know what you are going thru. I like to think they are somewhere waiting for us to catch up with them
At least I hope so. Very sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss. It hurts worse because they are innocent and loving in a way that we are not capable of.

I'm so sorry to hear about these guys too. All of our dogs and cats have been part of the family, ever since I was kid. My wife says dogs, cats and children come in a room and seek me out because I get them. She's kinda right.

I'm going to be a mess when my girl Chevy passes. She's a cat so they live longer but she's 21 and I know she's on borrowed time.

I’m so sorry to hear that.

Just looking at those pics, and hearing how much he meant to you, it’s obvious that he was a great dog and a great companion.

I’ve got my 20 year old cat CJ curled up on my chest right now.

Dogs and cats do find a way to dig right into your heart, don’t they?
