2001 American Standard. No, not a NGD I've had this since, uhm, lets see now (counting on fingers) 2001. Been in hibernation much too long and I heard it weeping to come out of the case. Neck p/u is some sort of old Fralin that someone sold me eeons ago and middle/bridge are stock.

Rosewood baby, rosewood! Forgot how great it feels. I don't name my guitars but am thinking of calling this one Rosemary's Baby.

Makes me sad. It's like those commercials "for only $9 a month you can feed this poor neglected strat and make him happy again"

Nice looking Strat! Those white pearloid pickguards were super popular from like 1999-2003.

Ah man, I sure like the looks of that guitar! Classic. Don’t normally like pearl pods but that one really looks nice with it.

I used to have an American Standard and sold it. Have never forgiven myself. Had LACE sensors loaded. Bought it back when they were 575$ new

Dig the look with that PG Anthony. Is it one of the veneered bodies with the belly cut completely blacked out. I had a similar one to that if it is. It was really lightweight because it was poplar. Nice to find something like that in a closet, especially if you forgot about it for years. Happy New, Old, already bought it Day!

It shouldn't be, it's a 2001, Veneer bodies stopped in 2000, when the American Standard had a bunch of changes (one of them was no more veneer) done to it, and American Standard was renamed American Series.

Yeah I wasn’t really sure when I stopped, but I had a veneered poplar one, it was my lightest guitar, but I suppose there could have been some heavy ones as well, nature of wood and all.

I don't know what mine weighs but it's definately not light, I'd hate to get hit with it. Feels just right though and plays great, would never sell it.
