Yea, I think it's going to go up more. Whatever, I never look in that direction. I usually gaze East or South toward Mt. Rainer. This is the third house in my area to have done this. I think the guy owns a construction company himself, not sure.
I think lifting his truck might have been slightly simpler.
Maybe he meant to, but accidentally lifted his house up?
Wish I had a basement.. it would add 1200 square feet to my house...think of the music room/woodshop/machine shop....
Is your area prone to foundation issues or are the basements in the area sized for Munchkins? Lifting a house is nothing to be taken lightly.

That's not uncommon. Typically, the house is lifted that high to pour tall basement walls. The result is a basement of standard room height with windows around the perimeter.
Better make sure the new basement walls are dead nuts level.
