Yeah, and socks when they get tossed in the wash basket? Whose the cotton addict?

    The washer or the dryer?

These days it's like everyone hates everyone else but some are willing to make a few exceptions.

I'm with ya there. I don't think people realize that hating someone takes just as much energy as loving someone. And leaves you less energy for more worthwhile endeavors.

Hate is not the opposite of love. Indifference is.

I got your answer for the socks. They get stuck in behind the drum, most of the time in the dryer.

Yup. After years of remaining angry with my ex for the crap she pulled prior to our divorce it finally dawned on me that my anger wasn't impacting her in the least but it was me.

One day I finally decided to just get over it and simply ignore her for the rest of my life. Worked like a charm. These days wherever she is I am not and that's out of respect for my daughter not her.

The last time we were in the same place together was my daughters wedding where I spent most of my time talking with my former brothers and sisters in law because I miss them. We'd been pretty close once.

I really have nothing more to say to my ex but knowing her she couldn't resist saying something to me and I'd prefer not to make anyone else uncomfortable when I just walk away without responding.

Probably someone who didn't like taking a shower with a bar of soap with back hair embedded in it.

To be completely honest first I got older. Then I got wiser. Funny how that works. :D

Just got off the phone with my grandmother and she had a couple of "sayings" that I feel would be at home in this thread.

"Its like they always say... A man on an island is... not an island. Como se dice? A man shouldn't be an island. Or something. It's a very popular saying, I hear it all the time."

"You know what they say... A man that knows two languages is like... two people in one."

    She's a sweetheart.

Well, you know what they say....with age comes wisdom.

For some, age comes by itself. So you're ahead of the game.
