New (to me) Marshall JVM205H. Sounds absolutely glorious through my 212 loaded with Celestion V30s.

Had a Marshall SC20H (mini JCM) but moved it on fairly quickly as I struggled to get the gain I wanted from it without a drive pedal. I replaced it with a Boss Katana MkII 100w head but to me it just sounded artificial.

This JVM ticks all the boxes and sounds ridiculous at even bedroom level!

Nice amp... I see you're into easy listening music.

ok
It was a heart-in-mouth moment propping her up against the amp for a pic… If only they were more durable beasts lol
Played with a guy who had a '74 gold top during the early '80s. His guitar got played a lot (because it was awesome), handled a lot and knocked off a stand at least once I remember. It held up well. Maybe it was because none of us had ever heard of the headstock problem !! LOL. His son still has that guitar and I still want it.

Good decision. Sv20 is a fantastic amp with amazing classic gain. But loud. I have one and love it. But it’s not my everyday amp for the reasons you laid out. More of a luxury amp I use when the fam is gone or at jams with friends.
