Picked up a complete Fender PA 100 from my local Craig's List. The price was too good to pass up so I jumped on it.

I made a new case for it as the old one was cracked in a few places, and it needed a new preamp tube, and pulled out some extra speaker connectors that a previous owner had installed, and it sounds great. A vintage 100 watt Fender tube amp. Doesn't get much better than that.

Sounds great with guitar as well as my Fender Rhodes. I'll try my bass through it at some point, but I'll hook it up to different speakers. The stock PA 100 speakers sound pretty good with guitar and keyboards, but I don't know I want to risk playing bass through them.

    Cool!

Shares the same power section of a Twin, iirc. Seems I remember people doing all kinds of mods on them at some point. It's been a while. Congrats!

Great amp. I have one that is being made into something else. For extra fun you can jumper from channel to channel. It allows you to get different sounds compared to running through a single channel.

With some imagination and A/B switches you can have multiple sounds in tap with one touch. Set one channel as a lead tone, one as rhythm. Or one clean channel and one with overdrive/distortion pedal.

Great amp. I would gladly buy another one.

Nice. I'd like to find Fender PA to mod with different preamps. HNAD!

Just a follow up to this. I've been wanting a speaker cab to go with this amp, but couldn't find anything I liked, so I decided to build one. First I cut up some baltic birch 3/4" plywood.

    Then started assembly.

    Then rounded over the edges.

    Applied some Duratex finish.

    and installed the speakers.

Made a grille, and hooked everything up.

I went with these Pete Anderson signature hemp dog speakers. I like the cast frames and power handling. They're very clean and accurate. Very happy with the choice. I should probably get some castors for it. The cabinet weighs a ton

What you basically have there is 4 normal channels from a Deluxe reverb and the driver and output stage from 1976 twin reverb.
The preamps do not really have the EQ set up to well with Bass guitar.
