This is I25 north from Denver to Wyoming. Most of it is 3 lanes wide per side and the speed limit is 75 MPH which around here mean posted speed + 10 MPH so 85 is fair play. The problems come from two issues. 1) The assclowns who need to do 110 MPH and pass on the right where you're not expecting them to be. 2) A couple of hills in the two lane wide sections where traffic can go from 85 MPH to full stop in a quarter mile because some truck governed at 65 MPH has decided to occupy the left lane and can't make more than 40 MPH on that hill. Assclown #2. So your point is well taken and having an awareness of the roads you drive around here and their inherent hazards is how I stay safe. I just hope the guys behind me are just as aware as I am.
