Nice find, I bet someone was annoyed with another member of that house hold that was playing to loud and decided to end it by cutting the cord off and putting out to the curb hoping it would disappear for good before they returned home and discovered it sitting at the curb. Even if they did they still couldn’t use it, just a guess.

    .

If you haven't found a cord yet, they use the same as a desktop computer.

Put the amp on the clean setting and feed it pedals.

Put it up on a little stand, 12-18 inches away from a wall, and it will sound the best.

Thankfully, no cutting was involved. It just takes a standard IEC plug and I have several lying around.

    Easiest fix of my life!

Here's an update on this one:

I drive past that house every day. Today, there was a really nice pair of heavy duty speaker stands. Tower style. Threaded for spikes and they have to weigh about 50 lbs each.

So, those are in my garage now.

(Those electronic drums are still there, too.)

Gee, all I ever find on the curbs of my neighborhood are things that are too big to carry or too dirty/rotten to pick up! I want to live where they put out good stuff like you found!

Not bad! I like the Orange but I haven't had it long. The appeal was the headphone jack for me. Can't plug cans into the Super Champ XD and that is just too loud for late night practice.

That had been my luck until yesterday. Right place at the right time I guess.

If I find anything good there tomorrow, I'm buying a lottery ticket.

Thats right I forgot about those IEC style cords, a lot of modern amps have them now. I’m use to the hard wired cords on my old vintage amps. Good you have some of those cords, that makes it even a better deal.

I've got an Orange Micro Dark, and their 8" cab for the same reason. Late night practice I can unplug the speaker cabinet, plug my headphones into the Micro Dark, and keep playing.

Good solution! How do you like the Micro Dark? What kinds of music do you play?

It's a great little amp, although a bit of a one trick pony.

It does "smoke on the water" dirt real well, it doesn't do clean well unless you turn the guitar down quite a bit.

I've only been playing for about three months, so Tom Petty, Green Day, and as of Monday the Eagles.

That's such a cool find I once was going to do an amp for guitar trade and a block away from this guy's house there was a bass amp head and 4X10 cab with a sign saying "Works Free Take IT" so I did and eventually traded for a guitar amp...

    I should!

Although, I drove by yesterday and there was nothing there. I'm thinking someone is moving out to go to school and downsizing to accommodate dorm life.
