Been here over a decade. Finally decided to add an Avatar. This picture seemed appropriate.
Cool! What was the old one?
The big question mark. I never added an Avatar until now.
Back in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s I was working in Korea. My wife did a bunch of (volunteer) fund raising for a home for unwed mothers in Seoul. At the time, one of the ways they made money by making those Asian screens. One day when I came home from work, there were 4 nice screen in my living room. She was told to take whichever ones she liked for her work. We both liked that one the best, and took only this one. Most unique Korean screen I’ve ever seen.
I thought this might be about the next Avatar film. I wonder if production will be delayed on this.
‘Avatar 2’ Debuts First Look at New Worlds With Nearly Two Years Left Until Release
James Cameron has assured moviegoers that his long-awaited "Avatar" sequel is right on schedule to meet its December 2021 opening date.
Probably not about the movie. I found the original visually stunning, but a stupid plot.
Humorously, when they had the big scene where all of the people on the planet were communicating via the “tree of life”, all I heard in my head was “I heard it through the grapevine”.
The picture looks good. The backdrop for your guitar is an excellent choice. I can't stand it when people show pictures of their guitars on top of their dirty laundry or something like that. I mean would people have a portrait of themselves done in the laundry room?
Like fire works
i love that color, do you know what it's called?
The guitar is is Tangerine. It is a “relic ready” finish. So far as I can tell it is a thinner than normal nitro finish buffed to a NOS shine. I’ve had any number of complements on the color.
I really like your new avatar. the guitar looks awesome can I have it?
Exploding Notes !
I love Candy Tangerine.
Any chance your name is Scott?
Well, I’ll answer that question with a short story. Not too long ago I had to have an acoustic re-fretted. I out of town when the guitar was finished, and I called my son to see if he would pick the guitar up for me. He asked if he was taking the guitar to it’s new home (he really likes that particular acoustic). I told him that when I was in my forever home, he could move that guitar to it’s new home.
I’ll give you a similar chance...unless one of my kids or grandkids places a claim....now that I think about it, you may be out of luck.
Why do you ask?
Almost everyone I've ever known named Scott has been nicknamed "Scooter " at one time or another. Your screen name just brought that to mind.
Well, there may be something to that. But I started being called that when a friend noted that I was “always scooting around” (not stopping) when we played Basketball.
That seemed a better nickname than the one I got from another BBall buddy. He called me “slo-mo”. He said to me “You’ve got really good moves, they’re all just in slo-mo”. Sometimes I feel that way playing guitar as well!
