So your saying my snipped ear epiphone p90 les Paul special that I paid 89 dollors for is going to become an ultra rare collectable?:)... Just joking I think they will look better unsnipped.

Looks better, but the old Epi peghead always looked like a butt profile to me.

Okay, let’s see them in stores, no more teasing, and no price increase for less wood up there! :D

    Saw this previously.

From what I gathered the Epiphone's headstock will still look different to Gibson's although nearer in shape.

Epiphone headstocks look fine on Casino's, Rivieras etc, it's how they are supposed to look, but definitely look clunky on the Gibson inspired models.

Ya... the one pictured in the article is not exactly a Gibson style.
Closer... but still a little too tall. It is just a return to one of the dozens of shapes Epiphone has used in the past:

Honestly I hope that Epiphone starts making the SG CUSTOM another time. I miss that guitar so much. We'll have a a guitar with the "big G" if they start making the SG custom in Indonesia like the new G400 PROs and it will be mine for sure.

Still ugly in my eyes... I actually prefer the old style shown in the article!

They're going for a vintage Epiphone style, not a copy of the Gibson style.

I don't see a big difference at all. Non story.

I just hope new Epis won't cost more than Gibsons.

    I can’t remember
I can’t say that when I play my Epi 335 I’m distracted by the shape of the headstock. The only thing that bothers me is the shade of green on the tulip tuners but I can swap those out if I muster up the motivation

Not sure they are making it look like the gibson, but the older epiphone headstocks. I got that from the article.

    It says:

"In a recent Instagram post, Gueikian shared a picture of a host of classic Gibson and Epiphone parts, including scratchplates, pickup selector rings and vintage Epiphone headstocks.
When Instagram user cwwoodhead commented, “You should switch all the Epi headstock to that shape”, Gueikian issued a brief but telling response: “it’s coming”."

The image clearly shows an old Epi headstock, not the Gibson headstock, so this post title is not accurate.

The article says..."So the news that the entire Epiphone range will now bear a closer - although not identical - resemblance to Gibson’s line-up is most welcome news indeed"

The thread title is not fake news.
