Awesome. Looks like a 60s style heavy relic Strat. Probably will have some high output pickups. Can't wait to hear more about this.

It was about time, it was expected that Fender would do a Gary Moore replica.

By the looks of it the relic job looks awesome. Looks authentic

Awesome looking strat, GM more than deserves a commemorative signature model!

He was playing a Strat like that on the Stratocaster anniversary show. He killed Hendix's "Red House." Sad that he died fairly young

Well, since Fender chose to release it on May 20th...it seems like Kismet, as natural as the sunrise that you folks should get me one as a BD present. Preorder now.

    Thank you in advance.

I wonder what the price might up on. Definitely right around the Gilmour range I would assume but I hope it would be cheaper for my own sake

I'm going to guess that it'll be somewhere in the region of $3,895

This is a replica of Gary's actual Strat.

I understand that bit, but Gary's guitar didn't look like that when it was new.

Maybe they'll do what they did with the Gilmour strat and release an accurate relic version, and a NOS version.

Happy Birthday (and many more) in advance! if everybody on S-T were to send you a dollar, you could run over to GC on your birthday and pick it up (the one on River & Orange Grove will probably have one). ;)
    What do you think, folks?

Well let's put it this way, if Fender would to produce a early 60s specced strat in Fiesta Red and call that the Gary Moore signature, would that really make more sense to you?

It would just be a CS 60s strat in Fiesta Red...

If this turns out to be a 'Tribute' model like SRV's #1 and Clapton's 'Blackie' then you might need to add a '1' in front of the '3'.....

I was sitting at a stop light when I read your last post. I let out an involuntary laugh at the thought. As I drove home...I began to think how good, really good, it is that Strat-Talk doesn't have streaming audio with each thread. I'm afraid the thunderous sound of crickets chirping as people pondered the value of such an action. It might be humorous, more likely it would be very humbling! But...thanks for the BD wishes and the laugh!

Yeah, that store is pretty decent...maybe I can trade some sweat equity for a down payment.
