IMG_7440.JPG IMG_7443.JPG IMG_7444.JPG IMG_7445.JPG This just arrived from Wildwood. I was really nervous about buying online sight unseen but I had a feeling a guitar this fine would be hard to not bond with.
It's a custom shop, artisan collection (figured mahogany) with hand wound fat 50s. It's by far a huge upgrade from my MIM roadhouse with Texas specials. With the old axe I always had to roll down the tone knob to mellow it out a bit. This guitar is just aural butter though. Always liked natural finishes but this mahogany just takes my breath away. I feel like it's a different instrument all together compared to any other axe I've owned. Stoked on life !

    WOW!
I'm not sure that I've ever seen mahogany with that kind of flame to it before. Is the color of the neck from being "roasted" maple, or is it from a tint they used?

I like your choice of pickguard. It doesn't distract from the wood.

Sweet looking guitar. Hows the weight on that bad boy?

that's a gorgeous Strat. I personally like the natural finishes. And as far as your pickguard, I'd go with either white or black (w black pup covers)
