@alainvey - Whoo hoo! You really rode those changes. Bummer about your laptop, so definitely a bravura performance all round.

I was arrogant enough to think I could hack a decent rhythm part. I was wrong. :( Then I go at the lead part like a mad rat in a pile of poo. A lot easier to fake that stuff. :D

Nice soloing, sounded great! Nice phrasing and licks too

Thanks a ton Simon, I really appreciate that! Thanks again for posting the track as well!

Thanks Wogan! That really means a lot to me!

I loved your chord choices and filling licks, sounded awesome!

Your rhythm/chord choices and tone were awesome, and when the beat dropped with your speedy licks, that was amazing! Excellent take and loved your matching of the original chords

Loved your tone and phrasing, kinda had a cool like funky-fusion feel and the effects matched well with it. Great job!

@Relaxing at Cam – That's a very vocal guitar tone you've got there. Thank you for sharing.

A little teaser for you, folks. I'm working on a track for New Improv Challenge #2. It'll have vocals (plus plenty of space for your guitar parts). But there's more! If I can get the sync right-on-time, you'll also be playing along with some of the original band.

Be sure to find out at the end of the week if I've managed my little digital miracle, and who you can be playing in a band with. :D

    One single take, no rehearsal:

    Just my usual rubbish, LOL.
i did find it a bit disturbing that when the singer comes back in, he's on a different part of the beat...
but it happens, and we roll with it. Me, i'll just hang with the band, LOL.

I have to admit I had to play to this a couple of days before recording anything. Not used to that beat at all, I kind of lost my way toward the end.

@dogletnoir , @Kerry Brown, admirable takes both, but I think you've also pinpointed my error in the way the vocal is placed against the backing towards the end. Sorry! Most imaginative lines, Doglet and super-tight rhythms Mr Kerry. :)

@Brian H – 'Busy' is fine IMHO if you're on the money and you totally are! Very JB. Very BH.
