    About 7000 pounds...

Pity there's a co-worker of mine by that name I can't stand, I'd have, like, totally bought one of these otherwise... :D:whistling:

I thought they did this in 1997 with The Tribute, apart from the custom shop tag.?

Random comment here. Whenever I see a Jimi Hendrix signature guitar, I think "Shouldn't the model for us righties basically be a left handed guitar?".

I have a lefty Squier Standard Strat that I strung up right-handed. I really dig it and it gives you an idea of how Jimi played his guitar upside down if you're right-handed. It was weird playing it at first but you get used to it eventually.

I like how they say they made a "forensic" examination of the original in order to make an exact replica of the original down to the same nicks and scratches. Then when you look at the belly cutaway and the headstock transition behind the tuners, you can see they clearly used whatever CNC made neck and body they always been using for custom shop guitars. Those late 60s strats had a more angled transition from the nut to the headstock on the bass side and the belly cutaway did not extend so far into the upper horn.

If I'm paying that much for an "exact" replica, it better be exact. They could do a 3d scan of the guitar and get the wood carving correct if they really wanted to.

Fender come on. Is Jimi all you got? Clearly there is more to you. It's annoying. I guess corporations feel they have to keep throwing out new ideas, even if they are recycled old ideas. Hendrix was great! Yes! But he was Hendrix not Hendrixstratocaster. He would have made great music without you and you would have survived without him.

"Izabella was the last guitar Hendrix played with his original Jimi Hendrix Experience group, and the final guitar he ever played in concert."

Hm..... What about the open Air Love & Peace Festival in Fehmarn, Germany on September 6, 1970? Was Jimi playing air guitar on his last ever concert?

I wouldn't be surprised if this exact replica turns out to have a 9.5 inch radius and 6105s that has become the standard fender thing the last few years.

I can play Star Spangled Banner horribly out of tune quite easily, without spending £7000 on a modern approximation of a 1968 guitar.

And I think someone could get just as good of a 68 replica for thousands cheaper by building a partscaster with a Musikraft neck.
