It literally is a Marshall in a box lol The post man literally just delivered it so I've not plugged it in yet. Some say its the same circuit as the original Guv'nor minus some sort of fx loop? I've always wanted to try one of these Marshall pedals but the Guv'nor and Bluesbreaker are often ridiculous money and the Shredmaster is going that way now too. I got this for £85 which I don't think is a bad price. I guess I'll know more after I hear it
Just had a quick play through my Pro Junior and I really like it. None of that fizzy crap you get with some pedals, just a real nice smooth overdrive/crunch. At max gain this thing is slap bang in AC/DC territory. I've read a lot of people saying that the 3 band eq does nothing until the last quarter of the sweep but I couldn't disagree more. I think all 3 knobs are very useful throughout their range. Loads of volume available too! So yeah if you get a chance to try one definitely give it a go!
Awesome. Big, clunky,...but awesome I used to have the Guv'nor and Shredmaster from that series. People go ape**** over $300 booteek od pedals that don't sound a hair better than those old classics. I wouldn't mind one of those in my own little arsenal, congrats.
