Fender has done numerous promo guitars for companies. Harley Davidson, Monster, Hello Kitty (cult classic), etc. So it does not surprise me. I had not seen the Playboy guitar before though and the material quality is above the norm for these types of guitars.

For £14,000.00, it should come with a Playboy Bunny.

This is a new one on me as well; I only remember the final version of the Playboy 40th Anniversary model that had the Monroe nude centerfold drawing airbrushed across the body/pickguard.

I was more asking as to whether anyone knew anything about the guitar than it’s value.

I’m thinking that the guitar may exist, it may be the real thing but the ad’s a scam. I particularly like ‘son of larry’!

Photographs are the same or worse resolution. English is laughable. Location is Walthamstow. It's a scam.

Whatever! Real or not.... Can you believe something like that, built by the best craftsmen Fender have, still needs a shim on the neck?
Why not get the pocket and neck right in the first place?

Does anyone else find it a bit weird that Fender would make a guitar which is basically a tribute to a porno mag?

Though I wouldn't have anything to do with it, no, it doesn't surprise me at all. It all comes down to the almighty $ and Playboy has been a huge moneymaker for decades.

    Not at all.

Playboy used to have a monthly circulation of 7 million; meaning it was a very mainstream publication.
