With the unit 'on' press and hold the edit/back button until you see options screen. Use scroll wheel to go down to 'firmware'.

I was concerned about that as well. After a few minutes of playing the 11R, all doubt disappeared.

Band meeting everyone got a vote and Boyo voted 12 times after we watched some Youtube Eleven Rack stuff. May be going to see if we can adopt an Eleven Rack from the local shelter, provided it is firmware V2 or higher.

Thanks Duck and Bladesg. Got the 11r, got drivers got the editor, it all works and there are some great sounds in there. Looking forward to having some time to record something.

It was either this or half a dozen more amps and a Royer. :D

I just love this thing more every day. The standalone Editor works just fine and I can mess with it while in Studio One and pretend I am using Pro Tools. Importing files from online and cranking them up on the 11r. It sounds huge through my monitors. Record a guitar part, hang up the guitar, grab the bass, plug in, record the bass track. Perfect.

Makes it pretty simple indeed. I too am loving this thing. Just the mic/cab configurations alone are worth the entry price.

    I completely agree @Bladesg and @Dadocaster

The simplicity of the unit combined with its flexibility and tone is just amazing.

Oh, and did I mention TONE !?! This thing creates great tones by accident.
Every time I turn it on I have a huge smile on my face. :)

Now if I could only get a handle on Pro Tools 12

I'm no power user but I've always treated PT like a analog system with some nifty edit functions

As I learn more I kind of think current DAWs might be the other way around: An extensive editing system with some nifty recording functions.

I'd agree, PT looks and in many ways acts like an analog set up. Probably why I like it.
I stopped using PT around the time version 10 released, so Im still familiar, just been away a bit too long.

My biggest peeve was the Avid Application Manager that was loading at start up and sucking up system resources like they were a buffet at a stoner convention.
Once I got that corrected, things began going smoother.

Someday, when you grow up .... ;) :D

So Maybe I should look into the Headrush pedalboard. It says it's powered by Eleven.
Love the idea of the touchscreen and foot controls

I believe the Headrush and 11R are running the same software. The biggest difference that I know of between the Headrush and 11R is the HR lacks a True-Z input, which in my opinion is a huge mistake on Avids part for not including it.

Maybe it makes a difference, maybe not. I havent done a side by side with the two units, but I know the people on the Avid forums are absolutely livid over it.
