So I just wasn't feeling the Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder. Beautiful and ballsy "shredder" just not for me. I swapped it for this Player HSS and I snagged a GT40 so I can teach my friend's daughter how to play without giving her brain damage from my Marshall .

    I freaking love Strats .[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Congratulations, but now you're going to have to paint the wall to match your Strat. :D

Is that skull next to the amp a poor soul who was listening to you playing the cranked Marshall? ;)

    Tell me about that gt-40,
Be perfect to take to work, and been looking at it for that.
    How are the clean tones!

Honestly I think they're great little amps.

I had the GT100 for a couple of years but went back to all tube a year ago. I missed just being able to plug in and go.

It won't fool the discerning ear, but for practice and simple entertainment, I think it's great. I really like the cleans. You can tweak it to taste and save.

They've been described as "boxy" and I can see there is something there but it's a modeler.

The 100 and 200s sound so much better but for what I need it for, it's perfect.

    thank you,
I love my tube amps, but will not drag them to work, seems like a nice little rig, I could just leave at work.

Missing the amp sound, some compression and slapback,

    May try one out.
