You gonna give it a rating now that you have it ? This can't be the first rosewood you've had , could it ?

it actually is my first rosewood! and ill give it an 8 on the neck. overall sound of the guitar is right up there with the other americans ive had over the years. you can never go wrong with an american standard strat. and i def am diggin the rosewood.

Rosewood has it's own little addictive personality ... and it's cool after awhile then you oil it and it feels like brand new again...

It does wear away in places though, as my 20 year old Rosewood Strat Plus fingerboard did. Some say this "finger wear", is desirable, and I've never noticed a difference in playability. It did prompt me to go Maple neck on my 2008 USA Standard Strat, and I must admit I am loving the maple fingerboard. With the polyester laquer hopefully it will be wear proof! Congrats on the new guitar. They are making the USA Standard Strat better than ever at the minute.
