New Tele a little sitarish

    That’s good because every time I hear that someone has taken their guitar to GC to get even the simplest thing repaired it always turns into a nightmare situation.
    I’m still hoping for the best for you as it is in their building.

    I’d look down the neck to see if it needs a rod adjustment. The saddle or nut is probably low. When the strings are loosened during shipping sometimes the bridge can drop a bit. It might be a 1 minute bridge height adjustment. If the nut is too low often loosening the rod 1/8-1/4 turn might fix that.

    It also might be a flat spot in the saddle or nut slot. In this case, if the buzz goes away when you fret a note it’s probably in the nut but if it doesn’t it’s more likely in the saddle.

    It's already at GC. The tech there has done a few things for me though and I have never had a problem. He's done a partial refret and a few setups for me and I have been pleased. Hopefully it'll be alright.
