Great! Tell me where to find such neighbor :D

Edit: I'm sure there are people who throw away this kind of stuff. They just don't want to put an effort to finding if anyone wants it. Unbelievable.

I appreciate the resource and research. It’s very interesting to learn about the old girl’s life story.

Agreed. It does make you wonder how many good/serviceable instruments are lost this way.

Hmmm. A die-impressed "USED" and a non-standard, stick-on S/N label make me think it was a post-new refurb from a company like that big one in Nashville.

That is a guitar that failed factory QC, it was bought, refurbished, and re-sold by a company called MIRC.....

    it has no Fender warranty

what? SE is the kind of guitar, it's not an S or E letter serial prefix....the guitar is not from the 90s, it's not Korean, it's from 2000 to 2012 made in China, it's a Squier SE Strat - SE stands for Special Edition. It initially failed factory QC that is why there is the brown sticker on the back of the headstock of the OP's guitar....and the USED stamp....

Squire says “those are some nice Squiers you have there”.

I appreciate the knowledge fellas. This poor little Squier has been through a mess. It has a home now.

    Nice score and good work!
I would love to find a Squier strat when I had the cash to grab it up, but I tend to spend all my cash building guitars. I'm in the middle of a strat-ish/modern concept build right now, but I still think the standard strat look is probably the sexiest looking guitar on the planet.
    A link to my build.

I’ve owned 3 bought on CL. From Affinity to CV 50..and a CV Tele. All were listed SQUIRE. If buying on CL, always check Squier AND Squire.

I currently have too many guitars. Ranging from high end to many Squier CV guitars. I would be comfortable using a Squier at any gig. Excellent guitars

Great job on rehabbing those. I hate to see a guitar waste away; even if it considered a "cheap" guitar. It always breaks my heart a little to see guitars hung up on the walls of theme restaurants, just collecting dust and watching people eat fried chicken all day.

My Craigslist search looks like this. This will search for both spellings.

    electric guitar (squire | squier)

And I've never seen a Squier Classic Vibe that I didn't like.

Speaking of Craigslist, here's a Squier Jaguar Bass sort of like yours (different electronics) for $200 in denver https://denver.craigslist.org/msg/d/denver-squier-fender-jaguar-bass/7377959838.html You don't see them very often.

IMG_5009.JPG I own several guitars but one of my favorites is a 1989 MIK Squier Strat. It has one of the best playing necks I've ever played. Congrats on your new instruments!
