Stopped by my local GC today after checking out the new Meijer store that opened today.Saw this blue Squire Tele and I knew it was mismarked on the tag.The guitar was twice as heavy as I expected(not the basswood body indicated on the feature tag)and the strings were routed through the back of the body with metal ferrules.Plus the pick ups were quite hot.For 180 bucks I could not pass it up.Swear it is a Classic 20210513_161432.jpg Vibe!

How was it mis-marked? Looks like a standard issue Bullet to me.

Well the price was too low for what I got!To be honest if it was just a run of the mill Squier Tele I would not have bought it but once I plugged it in I knew it as keeper!

Classic Vibes have the gold Fender logo, right? It's not an Affinity but it could be a Bullet. I compared a Bullet Telecaster neck with a Player's Series Telecaster neck and the profile was identical.

I'm curious, why would you say it is not a bullet ?

Dont you just love falling in love with an affordable guitar!? Play the thing hard for the next 15 years and you just might have one of the best looking/playing bullet strat ever.

if it sounds good, it's good.

Because previous bullet Strata and Teles generally had very light basswood bodies and this one is very heavy .

Not a Classic Vibe. Wrong logo, wrong tuners, wrong bridge, and not a gloss neck. Still a nice Tele.

Might be true ...possible that they use whatever bodies are at hand be it basswood ,Alder or Ash.

I have the same exact guitar. It's a limited edition bullet. I bought mine from guitar center with a 20% off coupon for $157 out the door. They are surprisingly nice. I've never had a tele until this one, and I love it. Thin body, and the pao ferro fret board is probably twice as dark as this pic i took when I first received it.
