I bet that thing was cantankerous. This is the last electric I got. 84" wingspan and it has a brushless outrunner. Gobs of power.... for about 5 minutes. Lol
Yeah it ran on a NiCad pack for a race car with a solid-state throttle from a car and was good for about 2 to 3 minutes of run time depending on the throttle setting after takeoff.
You guys are awesome! I flew mostly line control models I scratch built back in the sixties. I used Cox and Fox 2 cycle engines. What fun! I tried my hand a two homebuilt full size aircraft, a Vans R4 and a Teeny Two. I still have the plans for the Vans. But my license went with my vision more than 20 years ago. Just great memories now.
