I don't often do the NGD thing but I've had an eye out for one of these for while, and got it for a good price by today's UK prices. All original except for the 3 way switch swapped out for a 5 way, which is fine by me. Good condition for its age with minimal fretwear, only slightly annoying thing is that a previous owner fitted a string retainer to the headstock (pointless) which left three small holes. These have been since filled but visible nonetheless. Still, I've seen an 'excellent condition' JV of the same year advertised for double this price at a dealer so I'm not complaining.
It arrived with a bad case of stratitis on the 6th string/neck pickup, and the rubber pickup height washers were corroded so I couldn't lower the pickup height. Now fixed with some new washers and I have finished setting it up - it sounds *really* sweet, excellent pickups. Plays really well with no choking on bends, this is a very light (6lbs 13oz) & resonant Strat. Its probably the closest I'll get to a real 60s Strat so I am a happy bunny
