Very excited to share this one with you guys. Funny enough, the idea originally came from the pickguard and pickups I had lying around. Like most of us, after almost 20 years of playing guitar, you end up with a ton of spare parts. One day I found this old singly ply guard tucked away for years and it had naturally started to yellow (light bulb!). I also had the Fat 50s sitting and this set of '54 reissue plastic parts waiting to be used. Next came this beautiful MJT Shoreline Gold Ash body on eBay. It was NOS besides a few random check lines which actually didn't look very good but allowed me to grab it for a steal. That sat in my closet for about 6 months until I found a nice Road Worn neck for a great price. I bought the parts as a starting point but knew I was going to make it my own. With a lot of research and elbow grease, I am so thrilled with the results. Basically, besides the generic Road Worn aging on the neck, the rest was done by me. I wasn't planning to go into heavy detail on the process, but if anyone has questions I would be happy to answer them.
