Been purely an acoustic player...until now. My current guitars are a Martin D-41 and Taylor 327e Grand Pacific. Love them...but they are about to welcome the first electric to my tiny herd. Pulled the trigger on this American Professional Stratocaster- Sienna Sunburst. Should be here Friday. Looking forward to exploring the broad tonal pallet electrics offer...and learning a lot from this forum.

Happy NGD and welcome! I'm sure you'll like it, although of course you'll need some time to get used to it. But it'll be worth it :thumb:

Beautiful Strat - love the color, grain and the maple neck especially.

Out of curiosity, what will you be playing it through?

When I was poor, I only had an acoustic, and if I had to play out with accompanying bass/percussion, just stuck various pickups below the neck with glue or clay or double-sided tape. I was reading some methods book that told me. "playing the acoustic guitar will be more difficult than an electric, so begin with an electric." I wondered how that could be true, with all the knobs and stuff on them...
In short, you will love this journey-- you already have a command of dynamics and touch, and the strat will respond to all of it.

Wrong guitar! First you should start with the less gorgeous ones and after a few years, when you’re absolutely ready, you buy such a beauty!
But hey,... congratz and enjoy playing it
