And I had a strap that matches the Strat fairly well.

The last instrument I had with tort was probably in 1973, a Fender Precision bass, sunburst, with a rosewood fretboard. I really disliked that color scheme, and it's probably at the root of why I usually dislike tort, and have avoided it all these years. Oddly enough, that was a *very* popular color scheme back in those days. But this Olympic Pearl, tort, and maple fretboard combo is really growing on me. It's a pretty mild tort also, which helps, I think. I'll leave it alone for now. Also, my work bench is a total mess, so I'd have to clean it off in order to swap pickguards. That's not going to happen anytime soon...

Isn't it though? :) I went into my local store with the intention of buying a LP Standard and walked out with an Elite Tele after playing one. The Elite neck is fantastic.

The same thing happened to me last month. I saw that Tele on the wall at Guitar Center, it was on sale, so I played it, and had to take it home with me. Then I started looking for a Strat with the same neck, and I found this one.

You know, there's a lot of people who go on and on about vintage guitars, and how great they sound, and how well they play. To me, modern guitars, like this one, are superior to the vintage guitars, and I've played my share of them. The compound radius and noiseless pickups can't be beat. Much better than the vintage stuff, IMHO.

    Exactly.

If you like low action, no vintage guitar is going to beat a modern compound radius.

    Nice guitar, congrats!

You can fix the case with some black epoxy and then sand it to give it form. I’ve done it a couple of cases. It doesn’t looks the best but it is hard as rock and it’ll seal the hole from water etc

One of the nicest PG I’ve seen ! Where is that from if I may ask ? Something similar would probably look great on my guitar.

‘‘Tis a beautiful guitar,” I want one, I just don’t like compound radius boards. But I love the White with tortoise pickguard. Very classy.

I’ve been a vintage spec, old guitar nerd for almost all my adult life, but the current generation tele elite is just fantastic, the elliptical carve/compound radius is the first neck I’ve played that I forget I’ve even got an instrument in my hand, it’s like an extension of my brain.

Just raise the action and it will play exactly like a 9.5

I just don’t like bending on an ultra flat end of the board. I like 7.25 when I can get it.
