Every time I see one of these, I want to click the "Buy" button at Sweetwater! GAS!
It's the most popular color of the new ones. I'm just waiting for that fella who bought one and then "couldn't bond" with it. I don't need the new car smell. At least not enough to pay a premium for it. Although I had forgotten that I get a 10% discount on the Fender site which brings the price down to $1349.
Absolutely stunning guitar. Congratz!
I have a feeling Fender will bump the price of these next year like they always seem to do.
In my opinion, the current price tag is very good value.
Awesome color !
Do you like those pickups ? Or will you upgrade them sooner or later ?
Yeah. I was surprised they didn't bump the price over the AmPro's. And it's not bad with the discount...but then you add tax.... still a value, but I prefer a bargain, especially one where I don't funnel any extortion money to the state.
And esp. with 8 or 9 strats in the rack, including an Am Pro, which I love, having another color with some slightly modified pups, (don't know at this point how much better I might like those, if at all), only has a certain personal value for me. YMMV.
But I'm that way with any technology. Just a cheap ol' bastid, I guess...
Would love to hear about the pickups and the new push-push tone options
So was I!
I think the pickups are great! I really like the tone of the neck and bridge pickup together with the push push activated.
Pickups are very clear and articulate.
Very nice! How does the neck feel? The previous Am. Prof. neck to me felt a bit thin. Did they change it? (I should note that I'm a fan of chunky necks though).
Congrats and HNGD, that is a beauty. I'm sure you are enjoying that one.
Super guitar! And as was said before, that "reverse burst" reminds me of the Strat Plus. Congrats!
The neck is still on the thinner side. I prefer chunky necks too but this is very playable to me. There was slight variation in the neck thicknesses of the 5 I tried out.
Thanks! I am just recalling now that the spec for the previous model was a compound radius, which may have had something to do with it.
Unless it was some kind of limited edition or FSR the American Professionals were not compound radius - nor are the American Professional II models.
That's what I was thinking..but I wanted to check first, just in case. My AmPro had a Modern "Deep C" profile and a 9.5 radius.
Love the color...HNGD!
Correct, this still sports the straight 9.5" radius.
Very cool looking Strat! Love the colour.
I’m picturing a black uncovered humbucker in the bridge....
