‘I had an Am pro for about 6 months. It was the only guitar that I had, out of many others (including strats) that I had to re-EQ the amp for, in order to sound good. That is why I got rid of it. If I didn’t have to do that with the new pickups, I’d be tempted to try one of these new ones.
Thanks! They do make the HSS version with a black uncovered pickup...I originally wanted that, but I am super happy with the SSS because of the push push pot engaging bridge and neck together...really like that tone.
Among the 5 that I tried, 3 of them sounded almost identical...the Olympic white one sounded just a tad darker...and the roasted pine one sounded very different, almost like scooped mids
I'm really digging this guitar. For anyone thinking about grabbing one, I highly recommend them. I like this one so much that I might pick up another one.
Thanks all! Actually, the mercury color didn't really do much for me...neat color, just didn't really catch my eye. I was actually thinking a Miami Blue HSS!
*starts looking for gear to sell** That is absolutely amazing. I would LOVE to create an infinite mirror PG for it. Headstock needs to be black, though. EDIT: Correction....Just saw the Tele version. I NEEEEEED IT!
Never saw an infinite mirror PG...what do those look like? I thought the same thing about the headstock. Not black necessarily but needs to match. I never liked that yellowish tint on maple necks/headstocks.
