After getting the nut properly cut, it plays like a dream and the ebony board is really nice. I was actually on the fence about the looks of midnight wine with an ebony board before I got the pickguard and plastics on it. but I think It turned out really nice. I originally was thinking about a one piece maple neck on it.

Thank you, After getting it together and complete, I have decided that I really like it as is. the only thing I will be doing to it at this point will be to put a switch between the p'up selector and the volume pot so I can kill the bridge and neck pickups and have the middle pick only when I need it too.

Very cool. I like the reverse mounted bridge pickup too.

As usual, your work and component choices are impeccable! Of course, you could install a toilet seat on a midnight wine Strat and it would still look fantastic (lol)! But seriously, you really have the "art" of guitar building down to a science....very inspirational for those of us that wish we could keep up!

Yeah, it's an awesome looker. Well done. I have so much respect for you, and others who have the skill to build a guitar. That's talent.

I just did a quick recording with my phone of the different tones this guitar has. For anyone interested. It starts in series wiring through all three positions then single with no middle then middle full on for all three positions. Just for fun I switch back to series at the end.
