image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg I'd like to start by thanking AUdiosway for the 1964 body and double line klusons, I really wanted a nice LPB guitar but this one looked really green to me so I just went with the Seafoam, almost went with Surf, 65 RI pickgaurd/PU's and Callaham Brass Block. 66 JM neck was refretted with big-uns and all of it was refinned by MJT, took awile but totaly worth it and it just seemed like a good day to get to the beach an enjoy the day with my new friend, mo pix to follow.

What kind of guitar are you playing in your AvaTAR?
Did it come stock with block inlays? It looks sweet!

:) Alas, I'm afraid it is not I in the avatar....wish it were... That's Shirley Manson of Garbage. I don't know what kind of Strat it is but I've asked the question on the Garbage website so we'll see what they say....

Girls with guitars. Shirley is the lead singer and very seldom plays the guitar, but in this clip (2:35) you can see she is using a Fender gold sparkly strat with a humbucker. The guys in the group use Guild guitars.

Right, saw that clip, thanks. She only briefly picked up a guitar in the show I saw as well. But I still want to know what the strat is in my avatar...

P.S she also does a lot of the writing for Garbage

Did I mention the new Jumbo Frets and Brass Callaham block? The block seems to add a couple of pounds but it does have a super ringy bell tone an Jumbos make it super awesome to dig into, oh an 65 pure vintage's all add up to a whole lotta fun to play.

I believe that may be called a big block stratocaster. Only a few were made in 05-06. Only 2 knobs, HSS, and block inlays with matching headstock.

Out of curiosity, how long did it take MJT to do the guitar from start to finish?
