I like these guitars. H-H Hardtail FTW.
Carvin makes? Made? some really beautiful guitars and nice equipment. That's a beauty for sure.
Beautiful color..why can't Fender do a decent deep green on their strat lines?
Carvin makes some nice guitars when they don't go overboard (which they tend to do on about 3/4 of their builds).
Well, it’s a good thing that doesn’t have a Floyd on it. I had a bolt once that had no retainer bar for the strings behind the nut, and the angle of the strings wasn’t steep enough coming out the the back end of the Floyd Rose nut. The strings would go sharp when you locked it down. Then it was a guessing game to figure out where to set the fine tuners so you could tune it after lock down.
Awesome guitar as a hardtail though. HNGD!
Nice piece of Ash if that's what it is
I have the same finish on an SC-90.
Carvin did good work. I still have a Carvin bass, and used to own a Bolt.
Keisel, on the other hand... well, I suppose you could mitigate some of Jeff's shenanigans by keeping your order simple (never Option 50 anything. You might as well dig a hole, take the cash you would have spent, throw it in, pour lighter fluid on top of it, set it on fire, and STILL feel better about it than the "guitar" what results), not ordering around NAMM time (well, usually), and only dealing with Chris Hong over there.
Personally if i had an itch to spend above the thousand mark on a guitar with high quality parts that would be something like a delos and not a fender strat....
As I said, you should be fine as long as you don't Option 50 anything (since that seems to be the source of most of the issues that have resulted in Jeff's more... erratic behavior over the years), and preferably just deal with Chris Hong over there.
Congrats, good looking guitar.
I've never bought anything new from Carvin/Kiesel. These go for a good price in the used market.
This one looks sick, HNGD!
