I have most of the AVRI models. And looking at the burst, I think it's more likely a 59. Nothing wrong with that, but the burst on my 57 is much more subtle than what I'm seeing in you picture. Both are incredible instruments and getting harder to find every day.
Really nice, congrats! A better option than the JV you posted, in my opinion. Happy new year/ guitar day
Took the guitar apart today and took photos of it. When I got there I polished the frets a bit and greased the contact points of the strings. I put the final year of construction at 2001, so it has its 20th anniversary since today
-59s weren't released until 2012/13, the string tree would be directly under the A tuner, and the SB finishes of the 59s look nothing like that- they were three-tone
Give her a little service last weekend. The frets suffer from oxidation. I brushed it a little with a toothbrush and some small ammount of water with some solvent and later polished with nevr dull. New tonecap and a treble bleed cap (which needs an additional resistor as the lower frequencies are filterd drasticaly now), connectet the tonepot to the bridge PU, some better grounding, a quick connection, some new strings and a special polish from Thomann.
