Still trying to figure out whether this model has a nitro finish. Some reviews mention it, but I can’t find specs anywhere. I emailed Fender and am waiting on a response.

    It's poly.
The 50s Lacquer have yellower necks, and were only available in Candy Apple Red, not Fiesta Red.

Here's a 50s Lacquer neck, Tele and Strat.
Notice how the clearcoat itself is yellow over the fret ends.

Interesting. I’ll have to take a closer look at my fret ends during the day tomorrow.

The Classic Series lacquer came with a nice case too. It was an upgrade for a few extra bucks. Mine is the 50s version.

That is a beautiful guitar! Bullet truss is the best feature on those large headstock strats. Sure it sounds amazing.

If you can cope with the 7 1/4" radius go for it. Those are great guitars. And i think I might like the red with maple better than rosewood, not sure.

Well done, fiesta red Strats are so iconic and slick. What model tele was it?

I’m pretty sure they did make a few runs of fiesta red nitro finished strats. They are definitely more desirable and that could very well be one. I forget off hand how to identify them. I know one was a 60’s style, with rosewood board.

With a few tweaks, they're called Vinteras now. Most of both the Classic Series and Vinteras that I've tried have been excellent guitars.

Perhaps, but that's not how product management and marketing work. Changes spark renewed interest and renewed sales. After awhile, there were enough Classic Series guitars out there Fender was competing with the used market for pretty much the exact same guitar. That's what not "fixing it" gets them.

Personally, I'm happy for Fender to not only stay in business, but thrive.

    60s style, perhaps.
I didn't bother looking at other models since Justin was considering the 50s style with the maple neck.

    Glad for you....
The last two new Fenders I've bought were a 50s and 60s Classic Series.
    I reiterate....the last.
    Back to used now.

Was a partcaster. Body was an 06…neck was a brand new Pau Ferro Fender replacement neck in modern C. Wilkinson 3 saddle bridge and Seymour Duncan quarter pounder pups. Was an amazing guitar…sounded spectacular. I just play sitting and lays my around so much that I always grab a strat because of the contours. Poor tele was just sitting in my closet.
