Finally received my 1989 Strat after the P.O. decided that it needed one last world tour before arriving at its new home base....It took 6 weeks to get from AL to AZ......and of course the box showed the effects of all the travels....when my postal lady delivered the guitar yesterday, we had a nice chat and she was as perplexed as me and the shipper....

But for the guitar.....she is a beauty...a 1989 American Standard in Crimson Red Metallic...I wasn't sure on whether this was the correct color as Fender went to a Frost Red later in the year and into 1990....was I ever so happy to see the metallic in the paint went I first opened the case....yeah baby...

The action is super low and I love that aspect....gonna need to redo all my other guitars.....

Here are a couple of pics:

And here is the original case that it came in....

Looks right to me. You might need to flip your computer monitor.

Thanks, the strap is from "Mother Mary"....they are very nice and very comfy.....really well made straps....they have a shop on Reverb...

I have to admit it was touch and go a few times on whether or not I wanted to ask for a refund since we all had heard of the PO issues....but the seller and I were in contact on almost a daily basis.....his wife must have phoned the PO about a dozen times even speaking directly to my mail carrier....she is a nice person and we do take care of her at Christmas....the bottom line is that it got lost somewhere for 5 weeks and popped up about four days ago in Memphis .....the rest is history....and so thrilled to have the guitar safe and sound....

    Beautiful axe!!!
I know what you went through getting it to you all too well. My latest puckering moment with the USPS was when I shipped @Groovey's guitar back to him after doing a ton of custom work on it. I dropped it off with priority shipping that should have had it there in 4 days. It dropped off the tracking, completely. No one knew where it was and we were getting ready to file a claim on it when all of a sudden 2 weeks later it showed up here in KC, the city I shipped it from. It finally made it to his place the at the beginning of this month completely in tact and in one piece. This is not a dig on them and I am glad that it made it to him but I wish it would have been a bit smoother.
