Hello all, how are we doing?

I bought a new guitar today. It is the latest Gibson SG Standard.
    This one.
    https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/190319340838008--gibson-sg-standard-heritage-cherry

So far I have only been able to play it for a few minutes and just with such a small amount of time I can tell it is a superbly built guitar, feels light as a feather and the action on the neck is superb.
I'll get a chance to play it more tonight so I can update anyone who cares to read.
Thanks and pics to come soon! Happy!

It is unfortunate that you don't get a case, but it should be a great guitar. My SG is number one in the rotation right now. So comfortable and easy to play and sounds great. I love it so much that I had a dream last night that it got smashed and I was angry for an hour after I woke up! Enjoy :p

I managed to get a Gator Hard case for nothing as part as a deal to buy the guitar, so I am happy with that.

Gibson are back in business, a simple decision back to basics and up quality control.

Lovely the SGs there putting out, i know it has issues but that SG with the maestro on it is beautiful.

Anyway fantastic SG you have enjoy, I want one been holding back still a few payments left on my explorer.:thumb:

Thanks guys, from the first look I had it seemed pure quality in a guitar, immaculate finish, can't wait to get a chance to plug it in! But yes I agree Gibson have got it back together and are producing excellent axes.

Right now the guitar has that pristine shiny newness that we all love. I don't even want to get finger prints on the buy it's that immaculate haha.

I'm a little partial to the looks of the sideways vibrola myself.

No Bigsby or tremolo system on mine. perhaps I'd leave that for a semi-acoustic.
