This popped up on CL a few days ago and miraculously still hasn't sold. I've been texting with the guy today so hopefully I'll be bringing it home this weekend. 2010 Deluxe Roadhouse Strat with an SKB flight case.

    Hell yeah!

Wait... are these the ones with the funny wiring?
Good luck to you though, no matter how it's wired!

No funny wiring like the new ones. I tried the new one at Sweetwater a couple of months back and was not impressed with the V6 rotary knob at all. This one has straightforward switching and Texas Specials.

I think Lonn lives next to the Twilight Zone because he seems to find the craziest CL deals. Everything, and I mean everything in my local CL is either garbage or way overpriced.

$300. The case cost $150. I don’t buy anything specifically to flip anymore, everything is a potential keeper. Another guy offered me a Mexican tele for 300 as well but I think I’m going with the Strat since I have a new Baja. Supposed to meet the guy tomorrow afternoon to seal the deal.

I'm excited to get it, hope it's a player. I'm thinking back and I can't recall ever owning a Roadhouse before. I've owned a dozen of every other model you can think of but never one of these. 3TSB isn't my favorite color but I'm looking forward to the neck. 9.5 radius, jumbo frets and tinted maple. I see a mint guard in it's future.

Im not sure if you guys realise how lucky you are over there. I keep reading about the cost of strats second hand for money that is unheard of over here (oz). If I could find strats for $300 i'd have a dozen of them.

I understand totally, I lived in Europe for 10 years an was racing mountain bikes in Germany in the late 90s. Thank God the internet had happened by that time and being military all the online bike shops would ship to APO addresses. The German bike shops were quite expensive and sold junk. As for guitars, I won't mention how I've bought at least a hundred MIM guitars for $150 or less, many with cases. Nope, won't go there. :p:whistling:

I thought the guy had disappeared on me but he popped up this morning and we did the deal this afternoon. He made the mistake of telling me someone gave it to him so of course I had to haggle the price LOL. I only got him down $20 but it’s something, paid 280 for it. I had fully planned on flipping this since he never had it listed as a deluxe roadhouse nor did he mention the case, but after getting at home and plugging in there’s no way. I weighed it and at 7.2 pounds it is incredibly light which I don’t usually like but the sound of this one won me over. First thing to tackle is polishing the frets is and then wire in the bridge pick up to the tone control. Other than that I don’t think I’m going to do anything to it.

Keeper for me is a relative term. Keeper means that I’ll own it at least a couple of months LOL.
