Other than that it’s very cool. No fret sprout, the neck is very smooth and nice. No imperfections anywhere.
I think that it’s just way different than I’m used to.

I believe that I’ll have a good set up done and rock like it’s 1999, or 1984. It’s all good.

I’m not sure why so heavy. Aldler body. I’m just lucky or unlucky that way. I’m not sure yet.

It needs a mint green pickguard to be a "real" pink guitar!

Pink? Pink? Well, what's wrong with pink?
Seems you've got a pink kink in your think.
Does it matter what color? Well that gets a nope,
Be it pink, purple, or heliotrope.

Way different is the only reason I buy a guitar. I have no need to buy something that's like one I already have. Congratulations!

Thanks. That’s exactly what I’m thinking. There’s going to be a slight learning curve but it’s already taking me in different directions.

If you can get along with the color, that should be a lot of fun to play!

I don’t think 8.5 lbs is outside the range of modern strat weights, at least not by much, judging from Sweetwater listings for various MIA models in recent years.

I don’t mind the color. I’ve always kinda liked shell pink with a maple fret board.

I think I’ll get used to weight, it’s just not what I’m used to.

    The pink is fine.

I guess it is all the extra old iron on it that adds the weight. ;)

Floyds do add a goodly bit of weight. Worth every ounce IMO though. Nothing is as rock-solid for staying in tune.
Two Floydcasters and one massive ash monster are my three heaviest Strat types.

Always kinda wanted one in shell pink myself.
But this tile pink is even more unusual.

    Duncans are the JB/JazzN set?
    Nice score. Totally 80s.
