Congrats!!! I remember these; they were very nice, a cool variation on the Tele theme. I owned one of the "more regular" Select Teles (the maple top one with 2 single coils) and the neck was really great on it - basically the 2010-2015 American Deluxe neck but finished in satin nitro instead of satin polyurethane.

Pretty. I’ve never seen a Fender with more variation in sold prices than that model. Reverb prices were within $1100-$2200. Small sample size I guess.

That’s a beauty. Really a nice looking guitar. Happy NGD!

I think anyone who desires to play the guitar is a good enough of a player to own a great guitar like that. Learning to play the guitar well takes effort and there’s nothing to be gained by playing substandard instruments. If you’re passionate about music, a great guitar will inspire you and it’ll help make the journey easier.

That's a pretty serious Fender. Selects are amazing. There's a Strat select out there rosewood/maple fingerboard/neck. Beautiful quilt top. I love it. I have a Vintera 50s Strat modified, but I've not made the jump to USA yet.

Thank you. It's already is inspiring me to play more, and I'm pretty sure these pickups sound way better than any guitar that have played/owned (I haven't played many though). The tone options are crazy and keep me switching it up to play more!

I doubt the pickups are CuNiFe, most likely «revoiced» humbuckers.

To my knowledge, only the American Original 70s Custom comes with a «real» CuNiFe WR in neck position.

edit:I see this guitar was launched back in 2013, Fender didn’t make CuNiFe again until 2020. They call them «Wide Range Specials» too. Shure they sound great though, just not the real thing :)
