    Because I always wanted one.

Actually, the real reasons are because I've got a new band and play virtually all acoustic and let the lead player handle the other stuff, but being a Fender Electric guy my entire life, I wanted a Strat Fretboard. And it's Lake Placid Blue.

BTW, it's actually a really nice guitar. First thing I did was change the strings (came with coated .12s, two things I hate). Put on Ernie Ball Earthwood .11s.
I filed down the bridge, too and it needs a little truss rod tweaking.
Acoustically, it's a bit brighter than my Takamine, but plugged in the Fishman electronics really take over anyway.

    KILLER!

Love it. Honestly, having owned a Kingman, you can most assuredly get a more resonant better sounding acoustic, but you probably won't find one cooler or more fun, ENJOY!

Thanks and you're right of course---but it won't ever be used unplugged, really, and certainly not for recording. It's all about the look and neck feel.
I highly doubt many people can tell the difference between a nice Taylor and this $349 guitar in a club at 100 decibels if they're both playing through the same system.

It looks good to me. I think the only reason that I never got a Fender acoustic is that they seem to be widely slated on internet fora.

Yes, they are maligned in general, but this really isn't bad. There are even lots of good reviews. But as I mentioned earlier, it's always gonna be plugged in live.
In their defense, Fender really did put some thought into this one and it's very unique.

That headstock just looks weird on there though. I'm glad they've gotten away from it on their newer acoustics.

I too love the Fender line of acoustics....

I have a Sonoran as we live in the Sonoran Desert...

I have a San Miguel as my mother always said I was a saint, and I'm a Michael...

And I have a Kingman....just because it is a cool guitar!!!!

Like you, I also love the familiarity with the neck....and the 2 CE's sound real good through an amp.

The SanMiguel has a nice spot in the family room, where I can just lean over and grab it if I feel like noodling...

Where is @Polarbear? He's the resident forum Fender acoustic fan. And he loves blue guitars (usually baby blue Strats), so this thread would be perfect for him

Those new Paramount series are very nice. Even though I'm a die hard Martin guy I really think Fender make very nice acoustics.

I think brighter usually works in your favor in a band situation. That's the reason those high dollar Taylor's are so popular in bands. Enjoy it.

If loving it is wrong, I don't want to be right, haha.
Anyway, that's kind of the point.

I saw one when I was at my local music shop, I let out quite a loud “EWWWWW”
But as long as you like it that’s what counts, it’s definitely a memorable guitar!
The think that was grinding on me at the shop was that they had 3 of these and multiple $10k plus Martins but not a single PRS acoustic...
