I’ve been looking at Reverends for a bit and had to pull the trigger when they came out with this Charger RA. It really is well made and comes set up very well. The neck feels good, fret ends are smooth. I love the pickups in this guitar, definitely a different sound than my strats or Les Paul. The tone and bass contour knob are both very useful. It looks like sort of a Les Paul / Tele offspring to me…

Jealous man….when I went to buy my Charger RA everybody in the universe who carried Reverends was out of that turquoise color ! I mean I called every freakin dealer and the company. I tried really hard. So I got purple. It’s nice but that blue is awesome. I got a super dark headstock and darker than normal neck too.

Have to say it’s probably my favorite sounding Reverend right now. The pickups are dynamite on it. You chose good! The 2019 versions had the black pickguard on it and to me, looks better and amazing. I’ve had Pickgaurdian make me one, hope to get it on there in the next few days now that I have some hinge bits to make perfect centered holes for that pickguard.

    Happy new guitar day! :thumb:

Oh and here’s a pic of an earlier Charger with a pickguard installed

and of course a gratuitous pic of my purple one

Nothing wrong with that gorgeous Les Paul, either.

Thanks! I'm a sucker for blue guitars and flame tops. Its not as 'true blue' as that picture shows, a little bit toward turquoise as you say.

Yeah, love the Les Paul. I know this is Strat Talk, but I have to say that's the best-playing guitar I own. The neck and frets are very good.

Love that one. I saw a couple similar ones on Reverb recently that were really tempting, but they were HBs, and I really wanted the P90 type pu in the neck.

Lol - I might be tempted to get a Charger HB like @dublindave8456 's, but then I feel like I'd have to sell the Les Paul. Not quite ready to do that yet. The LP really is a good one.

Really nice guitar. Actually all of them posted.

Congrats, looks like you got a great one. They are really well made and a great company.

The bass contour circuit is really usable, there is a local Dallas dealer called The Tone Shop in Addison who always have a large inventory. I played several and almost bought a couple.

There was a single P90 model that blew me away a few years ago, I forgot the model name, but that is the one that almost came home with me. It was only like $ 699.99 or something close to that and it played like an instrument 4 times the price.

They make some great P90 variations throughout their line up.

I didn't need to see all these chargers

I wonder how many guitars have been bought from being a member of this forum alone?
