About 6 months ago I had the good fortune of being able to sell/trade about 10 of my guitars so that I could buy a PRS Core Paul's Guitar in Red Fireburst color from my buddy in our local music shop. That guitar defines perfection (IMHO), so once again I started thinking about another high-end guitar to go with it, but only if it were something very special. There were several candidates, so I started selling some of my other guitars so that I could afford it. Just recently I came across a PRS Core McCarty 594 Single Cut in the very same colors as my Paul's guitar. so, I just went ahead and bought it! I really had the McCarty 594 Single Cut on my list, but to find one brand new that literally matched the Paul's Guitar must have been some sort of divine luck. Anyway, I got it home and all I can say is WOW! Yes, it is a lot like a Gibson LP, but I am a huge PRS fan and this thing is truly amazing in every respect...fit, finish, details, playability, tones, and you name it. And now I get to eat spam and rice for every meal for about a year just to pay for it! Anyway, here it is (Oh, and the last picture shows the "duo" : Uh Oh, looks like a duplicated a couple of pix. Oh well.

    Congratulations!!
The McCarty 594 keeps crossing my radar lately, I’d better experience it through you. Scare to death to play one. I have spent entirely too much on gear this year!
    HNGD!

Hmmm, well it appears that your dietary requirements take a back seat to NGD. AS IT SHOULD BE! HNGD!

I explained NGD to my GF's daughter and friend today... They didn't believe me... I showed them your post.
Now they believe it's a thing!
    Thanks! :)

Here's a great recipe for the Spam. Pan fry onions in butter, add spam and rice and a house brick. Cook in water for 3 hours. Cool and throw away the spamy rice. Eat the brick! :(

Wow, that’s what I like to see…people with the same sickness as me. I’ve bought at least 14 guitars this year. I’ve got about half of them paid off. I did throw a speaker cab on m\y credit card the other day, as my bucket list guitar didn’t work out. He made me a good deal so I had to buy it. GAS is real.

There's a strict treatment modality available for your GAS...
    1. take music more seriously by playing guitar more
    2. Thrice or more daily think about guitars
    3. Read ST at least once per day
    4. Take pictures of your guitars and post them to ST
    5. Research your favourite songs and play them daily
    6. If you can dream it, then you can build it or buy it

There are worse afflictions, like bass playing. :p

I tried your recipe, but I think it needs to be cooked a little longer....the bricks were still crunchy!

Congratulations and HNDG. That's a beautiful pair.

I also sold off 7 Strat's and bought a pair of core Custom 22's and a kickass SE Hollowbody II.

A couple of really sweet guitars! Enjoy! It's amazing how the body coloring on these guitars changes with different lighting. Yours shows the actual colors better than mine...must be a lack pf photography skills on my part. The red really stands out prominently in my guitars with more lighting on them!

I saw a Blue 10 top Custom 22, at my PRS Dealer's web site (high contrast photo's). When I saw it in person, it was so dark that you could hardly see the wood pattern. I liked the Black/Gold better. Plus, it was less expensive. I really like your Red Fireburst. These colors look classier to me, than some of the over the top, colors.
