Justin, do you know the t-shirt trick? Slide a t-shirt or similar piece of cloth under the knob, wind it around so it's under most of the knob, and pull straight up. Easy! Putting them back on is a bigger pain if you're OCD and need the numbers to match perfectly.
If I was buying a new Strat, it would be surf green! Nice choice, HNGD!
Surfy goodness! Looks great with the aged knobs and covers. HNGD
Thanks man...it is super light. The alder underneath the backplate shows as really nice wood. The can’t complain. Changed strings and adjusted the bridge yesterday. Will do some more tinkering when I get home.
That’s a new technique worth trying. I have a similar one that works too. You’re right about the numbers though...I definitely had to pull them off once and reset!
I was iffy on the mint pickguard, but my wife said she likes it, and she has impeccable taste.
I dig mine
Is that Daphne Blue or Sonic Blue, she's a beauty!
It's surf green. The reason I didn't post a pic of it sooner is because the color is off. I don't get it! I'm a photographer and I've taken pictures of it with different cameras and it comes out Daphne blue. My studio is a combined music/photography space. I'm going to put up my music stuff and set up the photo gear and do it properly and see what happens...
Love it, well done!
Got it right this time.
